No matter how splendidly a magazine is realized during the design and editorial process, the ultimate success of the project lies to a large degree in the quality of the production and printing. Having worked at every level of magazine production for some of the countrys largest publishers, Vince Bailey brings a depth of knowledge and a level of expertise that insures a professional, thoroughly efficient execution of any magazine concept.
Vince comes to IMPACT from World Publications, where he served as Production Director for both the Advertising and Editorial production departments, overseeing 14 different titles. His depth of expertise in every area of production was critical to the success of high-quality titles like Saveur and Garden Design, and the custom publishing and promotional products he produced, including Friends and IKEA Space.
Prior to World, Vince was Assistant Managing Editor at Conde Nast Publications Details magazine, where he managed the production, photography and design departments. He also maintained the magazine s demanding schedules and print, pre-press and editorial calendars.
From his first job in publishing as Production Coordinator at Wenner Media, Vince has been dedicated to improving every aspect of production. Working on Rolling Stone, US magazine, Mens Journal and Family Life, Vince created databases that modernized Wenner Medias ability to archive and retrieve scanned images and electronic pages. He moved on to American Express Publishings Travel & Leisure magazine as Editorial Production Manager. Here, in addition to handling every aspect of production, Vince brought new efficiencies to the magazine and played a critical role in its on-line presence. From American Express Vince was recruited by Hearst Corporation to be Editorial Production Director for Esquire magazine. Supervising the production staff for both the monthly magazine and special projects, Vince further honed the production skills that make him such a valuable asset to any publishing project today. His work overseeing the production and manufacturing for major book publishers and boutique advertising agencies including Golden Books Publishing, Random House and Bartle, Bogel, Haggerty-NYC, only adds to Vinces breadth of knowledge and experience.
